The Registry

Russia, Kaliningrad region,

31 January 2025

Dear friends:

This is the first update of the directory since 6 January 2024. We’re up to 710 locos – 17 more than last time. I’ve updated a similar number of existing files. I always appreciate it when I’m sent new info or corrections – that always improves the quality of the registry.

I’m usually confused by ownership issues within and between the Montreal and Pioneer Valley clubs. It seems that locomotives change hands whenever someone’s birthday comes around! =) Who, for example, now owns Al Hubbard’s Atlantic (see “442.free.Hubbard”)?

At least in this registry, the most frequent wheel arrangements are the 76 Americans and the 75 Hudsons. At appears a lot of people liked New York Central. If you include the foreign prototypes, we have 82 4-4-0’s.

Are people aware that the UK’s “Rugeley Power Station Society of Model Engineers” holds an annual 3 ½”-gauge rally? It will take place on 31 May in 2025, the location is just north of Birmingham.

All the best for 2025,
Bill Yoder
