Obituary
The following appeared in Live Steam Magazine, September 1971, written by Jack Hart:
- Jack Prest, Canadian Secretary for the Brotherhood of Live Steamers, passed away on Friday, July 16, 1971 at the age of 58. He suffered a heart attack on that date, but had been in poor health for about a year and a half.
- Jack was very conscientious in his efforts as Secretary of the Brotherhood of Live Steamers and as Treasurer of the Ontario Sunparlor Line - the Live Steam Club in Windsor.
- His interests and abilities gave him much to offer to the Live Steam Hobby.
