Lakes Park Railroad Museum

Lakes Park Railroad Museum is located in Fort Myers, Florida. The museum features a 7.5 inch gauge railroad.

Daris & Brenda Nevil visited the park November 24, 2020. Unfortunately the museum and railroad were closed due to COVID-19. A woman asked me if they were going to open up for Christmas, and said that was usually a big event.

  The railroad uses plastic lumber to reduce tie maintenance.

  Grade crossing

• 

  A typical grade crossing on the Lakes Park Railroad. A plastic 2x6 in the middle, with aluminum rail turned on its side with the head of the rail contacting the web of the steel rail.
